DADI Marcel (1951-1996)

Objet exceptionnel et rarissime : dédicace originale sur la pochette du CD “Nashville Rendez-Vous” signée à la main par Marcel Dadi, figure légendaire de la guitare fingerpicking.
Cet autographe a été obtenu en personne à la Fnac de Nice, lors d’une rencontre publique il y a environ 35 ans. Les signatures de Marcel Dadi sont extrêmement rares, et sur support CD, elles sont pratiquement introuvables.

Marcel Dadi (1951-1996) fut l’un des plus grands guitaristes français, maître du picking à la Chet Atkins, qu’il contribua à populariser en Europe. Véritable virtuose autodidacte, il a collaboré avec de nombreux géants de la guitare tels que Chet Atkins, Larry Coryell, Albert Lee, Steve Morse ou Buddy Emmons, réunis sur ce même album mythique “Nashville Rendez-Vous”.

Sa carrière, aussi brillante que discrète, fut brutalement interrompue lors du crash du vol TWA 800 en juillet 1996, au large de New York, alors qu’il revenait des États-Unis. Sa disparition tragique bouleversa la communauté musicale mondiale.

Cet exemplaire signé constitue un véritable témoignage d’une époque et d’un artiste hors pair, idéal pour un collectionneur de raretés musicales ou un amateur de guitare.

Exceptional and extremely rare: original autograph on the CD sleeve “Nashville Rendez-Vous”, personally signed by French guitar legend Marcel Dadi.
This autograph was obtained in person at Fnac Nice around 35 years ago. Marcel Dadi’s signatures are among the rarest, and on a CD cover they are virtually impossible to find.

Marcel Dadi (1951-1996) was one of France’s most talented guitarists, a true master of the fingerpicking style popularized by Chet Atkins. He collaborated with world-renowned musicians such as Chet Atkins, Larry Coryell, Albert Lee, Steve Morse, Buddy Emmons, all featured on this iconic album “Nashville Rendez-Vous”.

His promising career came to a tragic end when he perished in the TWA Flight 800 crash in July 1996 off the coast of New York, returning from the United States.
