Lee Marvin se trouvait à Paris début janvier 1984 pour assister à la première du film Canicule (Dog Day), réalisé par Yves Boisset. C’est à cette occasion que le collectionneur Michel Clare, fidèle habitué des avant-premières parisiennes, a obtenu ce rare autographe. Le cliché figure parmi les plus expressifs de Marvin dans ses rôles de fin de carrière.
